Our Team
Kevin Belusa, President
As President of AirGenuity, Kevin Belusa has spent more than two decades helping research, healthcare, and institutional facilities improve critical environment performance through innovative ventilation and airflow control solutions. Recognized as a trusted voice in laboratory design, Kevin works closely with owners and design professionals to develop solutions that enhance safety, reduce energy consumption, and support long-term building performance.
Kevin is passionate about advancing sustainable laboratories and has been an active leader within the industry for many years. He is the Founding Vice President of Sustainable Labs Canada, current board member and founding President of the Toronto Chapter. He is also a member of ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.10, contributing to the advancement of laboratory ventilation standards and best practices. His involvement with organizations such as the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), the Canadian Association for Biological Safety (CABS), and ISPE reflects his commitment to sharing knowledge and helping shape the future of laboratory design.
Throughout his career, Kevin has focused on one simple goal: helping organizations create laboratory environments that are safer for occupants, more efficient to operate, and better for the environment. Whether advising on new construction or optimizing existing facilities, he believes the best solutions combine technical excellence with practical, measurable results.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys collaborating with industry peers, mentoring the next generation of laboratory professionals, and continually exploring new ideas that improve the performance and sustainability of critical environments.
Allen Hess, General Manager
As General Manager, Allen leads AirGenuity’s strategy and daily operations, bringing 40+ years in building technologies across senior roles with leading manufacturers and solution providers. With a background in electrical engineering technologies and advanced training in sales, account management, leadership, and change management, he is known for turning strategy into action and creating balanced value for customers, employees, and shareholders. Throughout his career, Allen has focused on unlocking underused potential—helping organizations elevate their market impact while delivering societal and environmental benefits. He has served as president of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association and was appointed to the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council. Drawn by AirGenuity’s innovation and the opportunity to champion Canadian manufacturing amid industry consolidation, Allen is passionate about sustainable solutions and local impact. Away from work, he enjoys music, cottage life, beekeeping, sports, and the outdoors with his wife, five adult children, and their families.
Insiya Hariyanawala, Controller
As Controller, Insiya oversees AirGenuity's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Working closely with the leadership team, she helps guide strategic decision-making while leading initiatives that strengthen financial processes, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's continued growth.
As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Insiya combines strong financial expertise with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach. She enjoys using data to solve complex business challenges, improve processes, and implement systems that help the organization make informed decisions and operate more effectively.
Outside of work, Insiya enjoys spending time with her family, creating special memories with her daughter, travelling, and exploring new cultures. She is also passionate about personal finance, investing, and lifelong learning.
Jay Keller, Proposal Manager
As Proposal Manager, Jay leads AirGenuity's proposal development process, coordinating technical, commercial, and operational teams to deliver high-quality submissions that showcase the company's expertise in laboratory airflow, safety, and sustainable building performance. From identifying new opportunities to developing winning strategies, he helps ensure every proposal is thorough, competitive, and aligned with each client's objectives.
Jay brings a background in HVAC construction sales, building automation, and engineering, with experience managing complex bids for specialized mechanical projects before joining AirGenuity. His collaborative approach, strategic mindset, and ability to align technical expertise with client objectives help transform complex opportunities into successful solutions.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys travelling with his fiancée, playing basketball, hiking, gaming, and tackling home renovation projects.
Diana Abasian, Service Manager
As Service Manager and Field Service Engineer, Diana supports customers throughout the lifecycle of their laboratory airflow systems, coordinating service activities, troubleshooting technical challenges, and helping ensure reliable system performance. She works closely with customers and project teams to deliver practical solutions that keep critical environments operating at their best.
With a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a background in building systems, Diana brings both technical knowledge and hands-on field experience to every project. She enjoys solving complex problems and is known for her collaborative approach, clear communication, and commitment to helping customers achieve successful outcomes.
Outside of work, Diana enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughter grow, learning about new technologies, exploring the outdoors, and travelling whenever she has the opportunity.
Ibrahim Suedan, Product Development Manager
As Product Development Manager, Ibrahim leads the development of AirGenuity's software solutions, focusing on creating reliable, efficient, and intuitive tools that support laboratory airflow management. He is responsible for developing new features, improving system performance, and continually refining products to meet the evolving needs of customers.
With a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science from York University, Ibrahim approaches every challenge with curiosity and a desire to understand the root cause of a problem before developing practical, long-term solutions. He enjoys the iterative process of software design, finding better ways to improve performance, simplify workflows, and enhance the overall user experience.
Outside of work, Ibrahim enjoys studying theology, history, and languages, exploring permaculture, and learning game engine design. He is also trilingual, having grown up bilingual and taught himself a third language as an adult.
Chris Wu, Technical Manager
As Technical Manager, Chris leads the technical execution of AirGenuity's laboratory airflow solutions, supporting new projects, client services, and the continued development of Aircuity and Airstaus technologies. He also contributes to product development and continuous improvements in production and quality processes.
With a background in electronic engineering and experience in building automation, industrial controls, and smart building technologies, Chris enjoys solving complex technical challenges and finding practical solutions that improve system performance. Customers and colleagues value him as a trusted technical resource with the knowledge and hands-on experience to help projects succeed.
Chris holds a valid 309A Electrician Certificate and has completed training in Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) programs.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys history, movies, swimming, jogging, and hiking with his ultra-friendly cockapoo.
